Domain sharing
Let your whole organization in — no invites needed.
If you use NameShouts with a work email, you can turn on Domain Sharing — a simple way to connect with teammates who share your email domain (like @school.edu or @company.com).
Once it’s on, people in your organization can view the shared lists in your workspace without you inviting each person by hand.
How Domain Sharing Works
- Anyone with the same email domain can find your workspace under Shared with Me
- People who join this way automatically get Viewer access — they can browse, but not edit
- You stay in full control as an Admin — you can still rename the workspace, update its image, and invite people with different roles
What Domain Viewers Can (and Can’t) Do
Viewers can:
- Access the shared lists in the workspace
- Listen to pronunciations
Viewers can’t:
- Change workspace settings
- Add, edit, move, or delete lists
- Add or remove names
- Pin or unpin names
That keeps your shared content consistent — and in your control.
How to Turn On Domain Sharing
- Go to Workspace Settings
- Click the Domain Sharing tab
- Switch Domain Sharing to On
- That’s it — your workspace is now discoverable to teammates with the same email domain

Tip: Domain Sharing only works with an organizational email. If you’re signed in with a personal address (like Gmail or Outlook), the option will be turned off.
Good to know: Need to give someone more access? Change their role from Workspace Settings → Members — for example, from Viewer to Editor.
TL;DR
- Domain Sharing gives read-only access to colleagues with your email domain
- New members join as Viewers automatically
- Turn it on from Workspace Settings → Domain Sharing
- Only available with an organizational email
